Intentional Communities

Multitask has opened an Intentional Community located at Nimbin. This is a 10 bed facility that offers accommodation to three aged Nimbin locals as well as supported accommodation for seven older Multitask clients with a disability. An intentional community is a planned residential community designed to promote a much higher degree of social interaction than other communities. The members of an intentional community typically hold a common social, cultural, political or spiritual vision. The purpose of an intentional community accommodation support model is to provide a group of people with a disability the opportunity to live in a community setting that more fully embraces them as individuals and caters specifically for their needs. Mulgum House Nimbin offers close living for ten people in separate self contained rooms with access to common facilities including dining, recreational and other outdoor and entertainment amenities.
